1 Day Emergency first aid at work courses Liverpool

This is a 6 hour, one day First aid course which is approved by the Health and Safety Executive. We can deliver onsite training at your business premises. We don't take individual bookings. Course content:

• Understanding the role of the first aider, which includes duties and responsibilities and the importance of recording all accidents/incidents.
• Where you stand legally for administering first aid.
• The first aid equipment that should be available.
• Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
• How to prioritise the order of treatment in an an emergency.
• Demonstrate CPR for an unconscious non breathing casualty.
• Ability to administer emergency first aid to a casualty with serious bleeding and/or who is in shock.
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.
• Dealing with other medical emergencies such as Heart attack, Asthma, Diabetes.
• Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries ( over 90% of first aid treatment ).

3 Day First aid at work course Liverpool

This is a three day HSE approved First aid at work course. The first aid course can be delivered on site at any location within Liverpool or the surrounding areas.

Course content:

• Reporting accidents/incidents. Accident book/ RIDDOR.
• The Priorities of first aid, the 4 B's.
• The unconscious casualty and how to treat them.
• Treating someone who has stopped breathing and whose heart has stopped/ CPR.
• Actions to deal with wounds & serious bleeding.
• Looking after a casualty who is shocked.
• Recognising a variety of medical conditions, including epilepsy,diabetes, anaphylaxis and asthma.
• The treatment of broken bones and soft tissue injuries such as strains and sprains.
• Recognising hypothermia and heat exhaustion and how to treat both conditions.
• The treatment of burns and scalds.
• Poisoning and the treatment of.

Paediatric first aid Courses Liverpool

Ofsted approved Paediatric first aid courses can be run at your premises. The course last 2 days ( 12 hours ), in accordance with OFSTED guidance.The training includes all the areas listed below in the course content. We can run any course in Liverpool or areas close by. • Dealing with infantile convulsions and febrile fits.

We also run 1 day Paediatric first aid courses, were we cover the same topics as the 2 day course, however this course is not OFSTED approved.
